Brain Hurricane Provides Positive Leaning Experience To The Students

Brain Hurricane is a free tutoring services created for the students from Kindergarten to eighth grade. Created by Reed Howard, this program helps in reducing the stress of cramming on students as well as in handling the peer pressure efficiently. Reed Howard, a life long teacher, has created several creative and innovative teaching techniques for the benefit of students. These methods are efficient enough to hold the attention of students and to make them an active listener. Here, learning is made a complete fun process which helps the students in earning better test scores and grades.

Brain Hurricane lays stress on the reading skills, mathematics and vocabulary development of students. It uses proven strategies to teach students which stress on making them learn how to think and to use knowledge instead of just regurgitating information. Each day begins with several movement activities like Multiplication Basketball and Spelling Jump Rope. These activities help the teachers in keeping the students active and engaged. The parents of students are kept informed regarding the scheduling and program development through regular mailers. Besides this, the staff ensures to call parents in order to discuss important issues with their child including attendance, behavior, and academic performance.

Students are divided in teams which helps in making them learn the importance of team work as there have to solve their curriculum related problems with the help of their teammates. The curriculum is aligned with national and state standards and contains relevant content. Stress is laid on imparting practical knowledge as Brain Hurricane believes that practical knowledge lays more impact on students as compared to theoretical knowledge. The students are taught the divergent approach to solve problems which means that every problem has multiple solutions.
